I was going to write a lengthy, non-twitter-style report on that fursuit outing from two weeks ago, about how cool and full of win it was. I mean, how often do you meet tabloid press reporters who spontaneously interview you for their news paper AND Anonymous during a fursuit outing? Doesn't happen all that often. :)

Then again, I'm tired, so I'll just drop a link to the video here. :)

Oh, and Gandalf the grey was there, too!

Fursuit walks are always fun, but this kind of 9-hour-extreme thing is awesome. I hope there's gonna be a CDHN3 soon. :)

"There is bored and then there is torture.
I should file a claim against my company for war crimes."

Oh please make the rest of my work week go quicker!

Proudly taken from a work buddy of mine.

One of the astounding things about Furries is the sense of community that we have developed. When one of us is down, others will come to his aid, even if they do not know him well. It is enough to know that it is a Furry. That community spirit, an increasingly rare thing in this modern self-absorbed world, is the singular greatest strength that our Fandom has.

And five minutes ago I was reminded of just how strong that spirit is )

This first one is a lip dub that was done all in reverse in one shot. Some of the lip syncing is off but still quite good for being done backwards and by high schoolers.

This second video was made by Asians. Cool huh? No srsly, the song kinda sucks but the video is amazing.

I just got back from seeing Avatar on the IMAX in 3D. I got there nearly 1 hour early and it was already sold out. Luckily I did get tickets online earlier that day because I figured it would be packed. Even 45 minutes early my friend Jason and I had to get people to move down and take an end seat. That's not the ideal place for 3D but it would have to suffice and it was still good.

As for the movie, it is about a military operation to get the Na'Vi people to move out of their tree home so that the way could be paved to dig for an expensive mineral. The science department came up with a way to send someone out to look like a Na'Vi and fit in with them. The movie was visually stunning but the story was rather average. It fit the total formula of a movie I've seen a million times. If you want to know that formula, I'll tell you over a PM.

General Rating 7/10 -- Better than average movie but still not great
Furry Rating 10/10. -- This movie will appeal to furries because of the characters and concept of being an Avatar. I can't imagine a single furry not liking this movie.

-----------------

Speaking of movies that furries will like, I give you "The Fantastic Mr. Fox". Normally I'm not too big on stop motion animated movies, but I like many Wes Anderson movies and of course it's a furry movie so I'm going to see it. It is about a fox who promises his wife that he will give up stealing chickens and go into another line of work. However, he still has it in him for one last job. It's hard to explain how good this movie is to the average person because the story is so simple sounding, but every character you just can't get enough of watching. I've seen this movie TWICE which is a big achievement for me and I could see it again and again and be just as entertained.

General Rating -- 9/10 -- A great movie that can stand the test of time for all audiences
Furry Rating -- 10/10 -- A perfect furry movie (even though there weren't any raccoons, probably because they would upstage the foxes =P)

***Furry interview****

In light of some current discussion about furries in the media, I've been asked to repost the link to my radio appearance on the Tom and Lisa Morning Show. This is the link to my original post so you can still read the introduction as to who the hosts are and what was happening on the show that day so you won't be lost on some of the things going on. The link to download the zip file is on that journal entry.

He sees you when your sleeping.
He knows when your awake.
He knows if you've been bad or good.
Thank God Santa is not an assassin.

I like my version better. Fuck you Cringle...I can sell coal.
